This interprofessional and interdisciplinary educational activity convenes national leaders in oncology, psychology, and genetic counseling to present the latest data on the approaches to treating adolescents and young adults with cancer.

 

The current intervention will be a series of ten one-day training sessions that target clinicians to build competencies in goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning, and referral to supportive care for seriously ill patients, especially those approaching end-of-life.

 

Through self-reflection and small group discussions, participants in this session will examine their professional identity to increase awareness of factors that inform approaches and perspectives.

 

This activity will summarize the available evidence for optimal stroke care and will be delivered by experts in each topic, with the opportunity for participants to engage speakers with questions and comments.
