Discover the Possibilities of PIPAC in Clinical Practice
Explore an innovative approach to treating peritoneal surface malignancies through an engaging, hands-on educational experience focused on Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC). Designed for surgeons and multidisciplinary perioperative teams, this activity brings together expert insights, real-world clinical cases, live procedural observation, and hands-on training to help translate emerging evidence into everyday clinical practice.
Participants will gain practical insights into patient selection, procedural techniques, safety considerations, and multidisciplinary care coordination, as well as what it takes to establish a PIPAC program at their institutions successfully. Whether you're discovering PIPAC for the first time or considering how to bring it to your patients, this activity offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced clinicians, explore practical challenges, and build the knowledge and confidence needed to take the next steps toward safe, evidence-informed implementation. Don't miss this unique opportunity!
Target Audience
This activity is designed for surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals involved in the multidisciplinary management of patients with peritoneal surface malignancies.

- Identify appropriate indications, contraindications, and patient selection criteria for PIPAC based on disease characteristics, clinical status, and treatment goals.
- Demonstrate the essential technical components of PIPAC delivery, including equipment setup, micro pump and injector operation, trocar and line configuration, and procedural checklists, in a simulated setting.
- Apply occupational safety principles, anesthesia considerations, and perioperative nursing protocols to PIPAC procedural workflows.
- Interpret pathology, imaging, and toxicity assessments relevant to PIPAC patient evaluation and treatment monitoring.
- Analyze regulatory, reimbursement, and institutional requirements for the development and implementation of a PIPAC program.
- Develop a multidisciplinary PIPAC workflow incorporating surgical, anesthesia, nursing, and operating room responsibilities.
