Update CME - Internal Medicine and Primary Care
Constantly updated guidelines on treatment and management of these conditions necessitate primary care providers to continuously update their education from different knowledge sources. Interaction with human experts specifically for complex medical questions has been cited by physicians as a more effective mode of knowledge transfer. This activity will support one of the goals of the Department of Health and Human Services in providing primary care providers better tools and resources to improve care of individuals with chronic medical conditions.
Target Audience
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Apply the most current treatment strategies to common chronic medical conditions provided in recent clinical guideline updates;
- Recognize effective interventions leading to the reduction of adverse effects of existing chronic conditions and the prevention of additional comorbidities;
- Employ relevant new research in their everyday patient encounters to improve mortality and morbidity of common chronic medical conditions.
