At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Describe trial design, including novel Bayesian methods, applicable to Phase I and II trials of rare diseases;
- State the categories of biomarkers, their analytic and clinical validation, and potential certification;
- Discuss strategies for deploying biomarkers and novel trial designs in specific neurovascular diseases;
- Recall newly funded NIND/NIH initiatives in trial readiness and proof of concept trial applied to cavernous angiomas with symptomatic hemorrhage (CASH).
