Join this series to strengthen your ability to diagnose, treat, and manage asthma and related allergic conditions in children. Designed for primary care clinicians and other healthcare professionals, this interactive series provides practical, evidence-based strategies for managing challenging pediatric cases, with particular attention to children in underserved communities.
Through expert-led discussions and case-based learning, participants will explore current asthma guidelines, treatment strategies, asthma action plans, SMART therapy, spirometry and FeNO, allergy and atopy, comorbid conditions, and effective patient and family education. The series will also highlight community resources that can support better asthma care beyond the clinic.
Participants will leave with practical tools to deliver individualized, guideline-concordant care and more confidently manage pediatric asthma and allergy in the communities they serve.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for primary care providers and other healthcare professionals dedicated to treating pediatric allergy and asthma.
Learning Objectives
After this activity, participants will be able to:
- Apply current evidence-based asthma guidelines to individualized pediatric asthma management.
- Select pharmacologic and environmental interventions according to asthma control, severity, and patient context.
- Demonstrate patient and family education for inhaler technique, spacer use, and asthma self-management.
- Integrate community-based resources into pediatric asthma management for underserved populations.
- Interpret clinical findings, spirometry, and FeNO results in evaluating pediatric asthma across age groups.
- Differentiate pediatric asthma from allergic, atopic, comorbid, and asthma-mimicking conditions.
