Celiac Disease Across the Lifespan

Chicago, IL US
April 18, 2026
Advance Your Expertise in Celiac Disease Across the Lifespan!

Celiac disease is a complex, multifactorial condition that can emerge at any stage of life, from infancy to late adulthood, raising critical questions about triggers, diagnostic accuracy, and long-term management. With a strict gluten-free diet still the only effective therapy, clinicians and researchers are turning their attention to improved diagnostic methods, enhanced patient care, and the pursuit of future treatments.

Join leading national and international experts for a comprehensive, full-day symposium dedicated to the latest advances in celiac disease. This dynamic program will deliver focused, clinically relevant insights for providers across specialties, as well as researchers seeking a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and emerging therapies.

Key topics include:
  • Confident diagnosis and new diagnostic strategies, including gluten challenge protocols and noninvasive biomarkers
  • Risk factors and screening approaches shaped by genetic and environmental influences
  • Long-term patient management, follow-up care, and best practices for navigating pediatric-to-adult transitions
  • Dietary counseling, nutritional monitoring, and optimizing adherence
  • Psychosocial and behavioral aspects of living with celiac disease
  • Complex presentations, misdiagnosis, and refractory celiac disease

Whether your work is patient-facing or research-focused, you’ll gain essential updates that can be applied immediately to practice. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your expertise, connect with leaders in the field, and stay ahead of rapidly evolving developments in celiac disease care and science!

Target Audience

This activity is designed for healthcare professionals, including physicians, basic scientists, healthcare professionals, registered dietitians, and others who are interested in learning more about celiac disease diagnosis, management, care, research updates, emerging diagnostic tools, and therapies.

Learning Objectives

After this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the immunopathogenic mechanisms underlying celiac disease and their relevance to clinical manifestations.
  • Analyze genetic and environmental risk factors contributing to celiac disease development and their implications for population screening.
  • Apply current diagnostic guidelines and recommendations to establish a secure diagnosis of celiac disease across pediatric and adult populations.
  • Integrate multidisciplinary approaches to nutritional, psychological, and transitional care for patients with celiac disease across the lifespan.
  • Evaluate recent advances in noninvasive monitoring tools for gluten exposure and their application in clinical practice.
  • Appraise emerging therapies and research developments in celiac disease, including mechanisms of action and potential clinical applications.

DAVID RUBENSTEIN FORUM
The David Rubenstein Forum combines a variety of spaces, both formal and informal, large and small, calm and animated, focused and diffuse, scheduled and spontaneous. Its ten-story tower features vibrant and distinct “neighborhoods.” For example, the third and fourth floors are home to Friedman Hall, a 285-seat auditorium optimized for spoken word, including keynote speeches, invited-speaker addresses, and select performances; these floors and other neighborhoods are connected by a two-story lounge. Meeting rooms on the eighth and ninth floors feature premium furnishings, finishes, and equipment, such as the Peter May Boardroom, a tiered meeting space that seats over 70. The Rubenstein Forum’s unique position on the Midway allows for expansive views toward the campus and surrounding communities as well as downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan.
