Faculty Advancing Medical Education (FAME): NorthShore Round-Robin

Faculty Advancing in Medical Education (FAME) is a faculty development program sponsored by the Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators and the MERITS Program (Medical Education Research, Innovation, Teaching, and Scholarship). FAME supports faculty educators by providing resources and training in key conceptual and practical skills in teaching and assessment.

These sessions will focus on the improvement of the core basics of education. Workshops will provide information regarding feedback/evaluation, the importance of a positive learning climate and improving the manner in which educators engage and dissemenate information to their learners.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for faculty members at the University of Chicago and NorthShore University HealthSystem interested in developing their medical education skills.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe techniques to transform verbal feedback into succinct written evaluations;
  • Define tools to establishing a healthy learning climate when teaching;
  • Identify effective strategies to actively engage learners in large group presentations.
