This workshop is a single-day, high-intensity operative trauma course built for surgeons and trauma teams who must be prepared to act decisively when confronted with the most complex and lethal penetrating injuries. Designed to address the challenge of high-risk, low-frequency procedures, this immersive 12-hour experience emphasizes technical mastery, operative judgment, and speed under pressure.
Using cadaveric models, live-tissue simulation, and advanced task trainers, participants will gain hands-on experience with critical vascular, thoracic, abdominal, and cardiothoracic trauma procedures rarely encountered in routine practice but essential to saving lives when transfer is not an option. In a small-group setting, expert faculty provide step-by-step guidance, bedside instruction, and real-time feedback while introducing advanced and emerging techniques for hemorrhage control and damage-control surgery.
This course is ideal for trauma and acute care surgeons, first assists, surgical fellows, and senior residents practicing in rural, austere, or lower-volume trauma environments, as well as military surgeons and resuscitative teams preparing for deployment. With limited enrollment, TRAUMA XTREME offers a rare opportunity to refine operative skills, build confidence in extreme scenarios, and validate readiness for the most demanding trauma situations.
