Well-Being Month 2026: How to Build Positive Relationships Quickly: Communicating Trust, Optimism, Respect, Intentionality, and Care
February 12, 2026
These activities aim to raise awareness of burnout among healthcare professionals and present strategies for promoting resilience, which will improve practitioner health and, ultimately, patient outcomes.
Relationships are built in small moments. This session introduces the invitational approach, a practical way of interacting that centers connection, respect, and cooperation rather than power and control. Participants will learn the TORIC framework (Trust, Optimism, Respect, Intentionality, Care) and apply it to common clinical and academic scenarios to strengthen relationships and support well-being.
