University of Chicago Visiting Professor Series: Maternal Fetal Medicine and Fetal Care Service Updates

This activity will provide critical updates on important topics that affect pregnant women. Fetal ECHO and abnormal placenta are two challenging conditions, and this activity will give participants information to help them provide improved patient care to this patient population.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals in the field of obstetrics.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss maternal and fetal indications for fetal ECHO;
  • Identify 3 vessel view and 3 vessel trachea view for an anatomy scan;
  • Determine which patients should be referred to a specialist for imaging of suspected placenta accreta spectrum;
  • Determine which patients should be transferred for delivery when a pregnancy is complicated by placenta accreta spectrum.
