The goal of this symposium is to support the needs of Internal Medicine Practitioners in the ever-changing health environment. This program facilitates self-directed practice based education that supports the practitioner’s commitment to lifelong learning. This program is designed to offer solutions to real-world practice issues, in addition to providing updates on the latest medical practice.
Target Audience
This event is designed for Primary Care Providers, including Physicians, Nurses, and Internal Medicine Residents and fellows.
Learning Objectives
After the activity, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, pathophysiology and treatment of common clinical conditions seen by internists and other primary care providers;
- Develop diagnostic algorithms for well recognized syndromes commonly seen by primary care physicians;
- Describe diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to common and important diseases;
- Incorporate results from recent clinical trials in the management of patients with common and important medical conditions.
