Chicago Robotic TECAB Symposium

Chicago, IL US
March 12, 2020 to March 13, 2020
Robotically assisted totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass surgery (TECAB) is a ground-breaking technique used to treat single and multiple vessel disease. Surgeons and physician assistants attending this symposium will learn how a TECAB is preformed step by step by observing a live TECAB procedure with simultaneous interactive discussion with the surgeon and discussion moderator. Furthermore, participants will attend lectures by leading experts in interventional cardiology, anesthesia, and perioperative care for robotic cardiac surgery.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals dedicated to the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Assess the value of robotics in the treatment of patients requiring coronary surgery;
  • State how to apply techniques of endoscopic coronary anastomosis on a beating heart;
  • Describe the significance of technological advances and device development in improving surgical outcomes;
  • Identify the role of TECAB as a component of hybrid coronary interventions;
  • Discuss how to apply anesthetic considerations in robotic coronary surgery.
