SAMS 7th Symposium: Building Leadership Skills in Medicine

This year’s symposium will focus on leadership skills in medicine. Insufficient knowledge about leadership and skills for effective management of healthcare practice and quality patient care is needed to keep up with the rapid changes in technology and standards of care in the forever changing healthcare landscape. Understanding how innovations in academic medicine, clinical medicine, and artificial intelligence in health informatics, as well as appropriate knowledge in running medical businesses can contribute to improved outcomes in patient management.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed for physicians, allied health professionals, students, humanitarian clinicians and other healthcare professionals interested in leadership within the field of medicine.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Assess new trends in business and medicine;
  • Create a successful model of practice in academic medicine;
  • Critique advances in artificial intelligence for effective leadership development.
