Resilience Week Resilience-Based Care-January 29

The goal of these activities is to bring awareness to the topic of burnout in healthcare professionals and present strategies to promote resilience that will improve practitioner health and ultimately patient outcomes.

This session will focus on the UChicago Medicine Service Area; participants will review local data at a high level. Participants will also be able to describe how trauma affects cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. They will learn and practice compassion fatigue resilience antibodies as a tool to relax the body and mind.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals at the University of Chicago and its affiliates dedicated to improving resilience in themselves and others.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Define the UChicago Medicine service area using local data;
  • Describe how trauma affects cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning;
  • Describe how to use Compassion Fatigue Resilience Antibodies in practice.
