The Thomas B. Quigley Society is a group of orthopedic surgeons who are former Harvard athletes now taking care of athletes. The Quigley Society is named after Thomas "Bart" Quigley, the team physician for Harvard athletics from 1945 until 1974. The Society is dedicated to the advancement of the care of the athlete through physician education, mentorship, athlete advocacy, and scholarship opportunity.

Target Audience

The target audience for this conference are physicians focusing in the areas of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Compare outcomes of common procedures performed by collegiate and pro team physicians;
  • Assess novel techniques and analyze the success of these vs more established techniques;
  • Critique established standards of care and create new ones for the care of the athlete.
