The educational goal of this activity is to help primary care providers better recognize the causes of low back pain and lumbosacral radiculopathy and understand common non-surgical and surgical treatments.

Target Audience

The target audience includes physicians in the following specialties: Primary Care, Spinal Surgery, Pain Management, Rheumatology, Neurology, Physiatry, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, and Family Care.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this conference, participants will be able to:

  • Identify pain generators of low back pain and lumbosacral radiculopathy;
  • Understand common treatments of low back pain and lumbosacral radioculopathy;
  • Review common spinal injection treatments for lumbar pain;
  • Identify appropriate patients for spine surgical evaluation;
  • Understand current spine surgery options.
