Target Audience

This activity has been designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals interested in improve their provider-patient interactions.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Recognize individual ability to positively influence each patient encounter and quality of experience;
  • State how to apply learned practices to patient interactions designed to achieve greater patient connection;
  • Define the core conditions necessary to create therapeutic relationships;
  • Describe ways to employ empathy as a learned skill.
