UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital is committed to creating a comprehensive leadership development program for the Ingalls Dyad leaders. The goal of the Dyad Leadership Academy is to produce the next generation of transformational healthcare leaders and to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive and lasting impact within the community.
 
The Dyad Leadership Academy curriculum is designed to offer participants the best possible opportunity for personal and professional growth and leadership skills development. It is important for those participating in the Dyad Leadership Academy to understand the commitment of time and effort necessary to create a positive and successful learning experience.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital dedicated using transformational leadership to make a positive impact within the community.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Describe the purpose and potential benefits of the Dyad/Triad leadership model;
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities for each Dyad/Triad member;
  • Establish a common mission and goals;
  • Align team members to the department vision and goals;
  • Accelerate the Dyad/Triads time from forming to high performance;
  • Recognize and leverage each partner’s strengths and work style;
  • Apply leadership best practices for: Leading self, managing conflict, leading others through change, delivering powerful presentations, improving quality and process, leading within a complex system, and sustaining leader resilience & wellbeing.
