Leadership Development Workshop: Micro-Coaching

This workshop equips participants with practical leadership and coaching skills to strengthen communication and enhance team effectiveness, while introducing wellness-centered leadership as a framework to support clinician well-being and foster high-functioning teams.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for clinicians, staff, students, and faculty across UChicago Medicine and the Biological Sciences Division.

Learning Objectives

After this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the principles of wellness-centered leadership.
  • Explain the relationship between coaching and wellness-centered leadership.
  • Demonstrate curiosity-driven inquiry using open-ended questions.
  • Demonstrate active listening techniques in coaching conversations.
  • Apply coaching techniques in simulated leadership scenarios.
  • Integrate coaching strategies into routine leadership interactions.
