Target Audience
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the general anatomy, physiology, pathology, and anomalies of the lymphatic system;
- Describe at least three of the latest basic and clinical research findings in the field of lymphology;
- Describe at least 2 recent advances in lymphedema diagnostics and imaging;
- Recognize strategies for risk identification and strategies for reduction or management of identified risks;
- Identify the impact that obesity plays in lymphedema and lipedema: both from a scientific and clinical perspective;
- Recognize the challenges of compression and how to adapt for clinical practice;
- Describe at least 3 surgical approaches to the treatment of lymphedema;
- Identify recent innovative and promising approaches to lymphedema management.
