Illinois Department of Public Health Illinois Cancer Partnership Annual Meeting

March 31, 2022
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is releasing the 2022-2027 Illinois Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan. The plan provides a roadmap to guide cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship activities throughout Illinois. The plan updates the information from the 2016-2021 plan in a reformatted layout and includes expanded sections. More emphasis has been placed on health equity and health disparities. Special importance is given to including the voices and opinions of those for whom this document is created: the people of Illinois impacted by cancer, the caregivers and support persons, and the cancer survivors. Quotes from people impacted by cancer are interspersed throughout the document.

The goal of this meeting is to introduce the 2022-2027 Illinois Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan, review progress on objectives from the 2016-2021 Illinois Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan, discuss access to care, and close the gap on health disparities.
