Advanced Practice Nurse, IBD Nurse, and Physician Assistant IBD Immersion Program

Las Vegas, NV US
October 14, 2016
The Advanced Practice Nurse and Physician Assistant IBD Immersion Program will be an invaluable learning experience for nurses seeking basic or advanced IBD knowledge. Formal education in IBD nursing is minimal and lags behind clinical practice. The emergence of the IBD nurse specialist role is expanding in the areas of gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, and both hospital inpatient and outpatient clinic areas. Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) and Physician Assistants (PA), as providers improve patient access to care and play key roles in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of IBD patients. The Advanced Practice Nurse and Physician Assistant IBD Immersion Program will provide an opportunity for nurses to elicit opinions from the IBD experts to gain advanced knowledge, get answers to challenging patient care questions, and observe how evidenced based practice and research are implemented into the daily care of patients. It will provide IBD nurses the most up-to-date and cutting-edge information they need to provide optimal patient care.
