Zooming Across Platform: Tips for Zoom Teaching on PC, Mac, and iOS

As teachers transition to remote learning during the pandemic, teaching virtually is unfamiliar to many faculty. While Zoom is a common tool to many, the institution offers many other programs that can enhance learning. This session will provide practical tips to use these additional tools to improve virtual teaching skills.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for faculty members at the University of Chicago and NorthShore University HealthSystem dedicated to medical education.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe functions in Zoom that promote small group and large group learning;
  • Identify strategies to enhance remote teaching and learning;
  • Discuss differences in using Zoom on PC, Mac, and iOS platforms;
  • List basic Zoom troubleshooting techniques on all three computer platforms.

To successfully earn credit, participants must complete the activity online during the valid credit period. To receive a certificate, the participant must watch the complete video presentation and correctly answer all questions (100% pass rate) on the post-test. The activity can be accessed by simply clicking "Complete Activity" and watching the video presentation. Once finished, you will be able to proceed to the post-test. Upon successful completion, the participant may claim credit and save or print their certificate.
 
Physicians, nurses, and social workers are eligible to receive continuing education credit applicable to their profession. All other participants will receive a certificate indicating participation in this AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™-approved activity.
