This activity aims to define and develop a clear, actionable framework for “perfect care” to initiate a national dialogue and drive measurable improvements in patient care across health systems nationwide.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for health system employees, specifically leaders in areas like quality, safety, and patient experience, and bedside practitioners.
Learning Objectives
After this activity, participants will be able to:
- Define the concept of perfect care within the context of health systems;
- Identify key quality and safety metrics required for institutional reporting;
- Apply the perfect care framework to propose improvements in system-level metrics and operations;
- Develop an advocacy strategy to promote the adoption of a perfect care framework in health system policy and practice;
- Analyze healthcare issues through the lens of the perfect care framework;
- Critique existing institutional quality metrics and improvement frameworks;
- Synthesize key concepts of perfect care into written recommendations suitable for a national healthcare audience;
- Design a conceptual improvement initiative aligned with perfect care through inter-institutional collaboration.
