- Recognize the most recent changes to the American Thyroid Association guidelines for the surgical management of thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer;
- Explain the controversy surrounding the extent of lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer patients;
- Differentiate between when to refer a primary hyperparathyroidism patient for surgery and when to offer other treatments;
- Describe the differences in thyroid surgery techniques.
