ECHO-Chicago: Vision Loss Prevention and Mitigation in Children

August 28, 2024 to October 2, 2024
In collaboration with the nation’s leading volunteer eye health and safety organization, Prevent Blindness, ECHO-Chicago has developed a virtual 6-week training program that will provide an evidence-based approach to improve and empower primary care clincians with knowledge and confidence to deliver better healthcare for pediatric patients, promote the prevention of pediatric vision disorders, and enhance healthcare for children who are visually impaired or at risk of losing vision. Sessions will include short didactic presentations followed by participant-led case presentations. This activity will increase the workforce capacity of primary care clinicians focused on improving healthcare for pediatric patients who are visually impaired or at risk of losing vision.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for community-based primary care providers interested in providing care to pediatric patients who are visually impaired or at risk of losing vision.
