
Engaging Reflection to Shape Future Culturally Informed Learning

This reflective learning session asks mental health and wellness professionals to critically engage with recent professional development experiences in a supportive, small-group format. Through guided reflection and group discussion, participants will explore the personal and systemic impact of these learning opportunities, emphasizing cultural humility, inclusion, and continuous improvement. The session will foster critical thinking, empathy, and perspective-taking, key competencies in both clinical and administrative contexts. By examining current practices through a culturally informed lens, participants will identify insights and areas for growth that can inform future learning and promote more inclusive care.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for health and wellness professionals at the University of Chicago interested in enhancing skills and knowledge of inclusion and belonging.
Learning Objectives
After this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify barriers to incorporating multicultural knowledge and practices into clinical and administrative settings;
- Analyze the impact and key takeaways of professional development sessions to inform future clinical and administrative practice;
- Evaluate current clinical and administrative practices using a culturally informed and inclusive lens.
