Target Audience
This activity is designed for primary care clinicians and other healthcare professionals interested in treating ACEs effectively.
Learning Objectives
After this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the biological and psychosocial impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on health across the lifespan.
- Apply trauma-informed principles to create safe, supportive, and collaborative care environments for children and adolescents.
- Utilize evidence-based screening tools and community resources to identify and address the effects of ACEs.
- Evaluate the role of the healthcare team in delivering coordinated, trauma-informed care.
