NorthShore Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Training

This new lesson provides an introduction to concepts such as implicit bias, microaggression, allyship, empathy, and more. Using this as a starting point to have a shared vocabulary and a basic understanding, we can build a workplace that respects everyone. The lesson directs team members to talk to HR or their manager if they need assistance with the module or if they have experienced or witnessed microaggression. Target Audience

This activity has been designed for all NorthShore physicians, residents & fellows.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Create a shared vocabulary and basic understanding of DEIB concepts;
  • Apply this knowledge in both the workplace and inpatient settings;
  • Increase better patient trust and outcomes.
