Case Challenges in Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis

Short Description: This self-assessment is the first activity in a larger curriculum (Improving Outcomes in Patients with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis). The activity utilizes a question-and-answer format to review key aspects in the evidence- and guidelines-based diagnosis and treatment of patients with psoriatic arthritis. Following completion of this activity, learners will be directed to in-depth, case-based activities that discuss further considerations in the management of psoriatic arthritis.

Target Audience

Dermatologists, rheumatologists, primary care physicians, physician assistants (PAs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurses (RNs) and other clinicians managing patients with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Determine the severity of skin and joint symptoms in patients diagnosed with psoriasis and PsA;
  • Assess the benefits and risks of available therapies for individual patients with moderate to severe psoriasis and PsA.
