Genetics in Clinical Cancer Care - Controversies, Insights & Scalable Solutions
A limited number of grants are available for merit - and need-based travel awards for clinicians and investigators early in their careers. The award will cover registration as well as reimbursement for travel and accommodations to attend the conference in Chicago on April 22-24, 2022. Submission of a research abstract or unique case report for poster presentation in the area of inherited cancer syndromes is REQUIRED as part of the submission.
Eligibility
Applicants must have completed their training (including specialty fellowships) within 10 years of the application deadline. Fellow trainees, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty are encouraged to apply. Underrepresented minority health professionals and/or those who care for underserved populations are also encouraged to apply.
Submission Requirements
Candidates must complete the application below and submit an abstract or case report (not to exceed the space provided using 11 point font).

- Discuss controversies in cancer risk assessment and genetic testing including integration of polygenic risk score into comprehensive cancer risk assessment;
- Appreciate advances in BRCA1 and BRCA2 research with special emphasis on progress in treatment of BRCA-associated cancers;
- Describe emerging concepts in Men’s health and comprehensive risk assessment;
- Develop a globally informed perspective on Precision Oncology;
- Discuss emerging concepts in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning to advance population health management;
- Cite ethical, legal and social implications of emerging technologies for early detection of cancer in diverse populations.
