This activity will enhance hospital-wide safety by equipping all employees with the knowledge and skills to prevent errors, respond effectively to emergencies, and foster a culture of safety. Through structured education and interdisciplinary collaboration, this activity aims to improve adherence to best practices, strengthen communication, and ensure a safer environment for both patients and staff.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Comer Children’s Hospital employees.

Learning Objectives

After this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how hospital safety policies guide staff actions during emergencies;
  • Explain the role of all hospital staff in maintaining a safe hospital environment;
  • Discuss interdisciplinary strategies for effective communication and collaboration during safety incidents;
  • Apply hospital safety protocols in simulated emergency scenarios.
