Asthma Education Summit 2020

The Asthma Education Summit will gather health care providers, community members, schools, and other community-based organizations for the purpose of disseminating asthma information and promoting asthma education in order to improve the health of south side community members suffering from asthma.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, healthcare professionals, school representatives and community-based organizations dedicated to the identification and treatment of asthma.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss practices and approaches that are successful for managing children’s asthma outside of hospital and clinic walls;
  • Identify the benefits Community Health Workers (CHWs) bring to asthma management;
  • State school policies in place protect students with asthma;
  • Describe how COVID-19 can affect asthmatics.
