This multidisciplinary educational activity convenes leading national oncologists to present and evaluate cutting-edge technology and approaches in the management of adolescent and young adult cancers. The conference focuses on the close cooperation required for effective multidisciplinary management of AYA patients with cancer.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to the treatment of adolescent and young adult cancers.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Discuss the impact of social determinants of health on cancer care and outcomes;
  • Identify disparities in access to care and clinical trial enrollment of underrepresented ethnic and racial minority groups;
  • Recognize structural racism in Chicago and its impact on survival for those with acute leukemia;
  • State how to assess sexual health and body image in AYAs diagnosed with cancer.
