Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, healthcare professionals, school representatives, and community-based organizations dedicated to identifying and treating asthma.

Learning Objectives

After this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recall asthma triggers in the household and how to mitigate them;
  • Identify how allergies are connected to asthma;
  • Recognize modifying factors that could help children reduce the impact of air quality on asthma;
  • State the impact of COVID on asthma;
  • Describe how air quality impacts asthma symptoms;
  • Discuss ways to support family members with asthma;
  • Explain how the rights of students with asthma affect how they are cared for in schools.
