Description
This is a multidisciplinary educational conference attended by physicians, including Hematology/Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology and Internal/Family Medicine. Other providers, including certified nurse practitioners, dietitians & nurses, are also in attendance. Throughout the year, we also invite outside speakers specializing in a particular field of oncology, usually from an academic institution. We review Swedish Hospital oncology cases. There is robust multidisciplinary input, constructive critique and discussion. About 16 attendees participate in these meetings. These sessions continue to compare and improve the quality of our patient care against national benchmarks. These meetings impact our practice with: 1. Continual updates in the practice of oncology 2. Review of NCCN guidelines
