Objectives:

1.The participant will be able to state at least three main purposes of the legal medical record. 

2.The participant will be able to name at least four of the most significant documentation problems that can adversely affectthe defense of a medical malpractice lawsuit. 

3. The participant will be able to identify what consitututes the medical record in the age of the EHR.

4. The participant will be able to identify at least two strategies to improve documentation.
