Objectives:

  1. Describe and evaluate available ASD screening tools, which can be used by therapists, psychiatrists, and other physicians to screen for the presence of ASD

  2. Describe the “gold standard' diagnostic procedures that are used to diagnose ASD

  3. Briefly describe empirically supported treatments for ASD, as well as factors that predict a positive response to therapy
