1. Describe the common signs and symptoms of inborn errors of metabolism in the neonate

2. List some of the readily available laboratory tests that can be helpful in recognizing which patients are at risk for inborn errors of metabolism

3. Describe the emergency treatment recommended for an infant with a metabolic crisis such as hyperammonemic encephalopathy
