Objectives:

1. Review data coming out of the current influenza season in Australia including increased case load, effect on vulnerable patient groups, virology, and suspected reasons for differences in this season
2. Discuss the new pediatric ambulatory  infection control guidelines and changes since the 2007 guidelines
3. Discuss flu prevention here at Comer and how ambulatory infection control may ameliorate this
