Objectives:

1.Describe the diagnosis and management of: 1) trauma to teeth and supporting structures and 2) pain/infection secondary to caries

2.Differentiate between acute dental emergencies that must be managed acutely in the ED setting vs. those that can be referred for follow-up in a non-ED setting

3. Review basic dental anatomy and dental development
