LEARNING OBJECTIVES

“Bridge the Gap: Narrowing Racial Disparities in Endometrial Cancer,” by Dr. Sahana Somasegar. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. To review the existing racial disparities surrounding endometrial cancer care
  2. To identify the main risk factors for endometrial cancer and why they are more common among African American women
  3. To understand potential solutions to narrow the racial disparities that exist in endometrial cancer diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.

“Childbirth Across Cultures,” by Dr. Kylie Steenbergh. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Explore the framework that allows for cross-cultural comparison of childbirth practices
  2. Discover similarities in reproduction and childbirth across culture
  3. Contrast United States’ birthing practices to those in Holland
