Target Audience
This activity is designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals interested in providing care to adolescent patients.
Learning Objectives
After this activity, participants will be able to:
- Recall inclusive terminology and strategies to optimize electronic medical records (EMRs) for LGBTQ adolescent care;
- Identify substance use, eating disorders, and contraception needs while facilitating referrals;
- State how to utilize school-based and community resources to improve adolescent health outcomes;
- Discuss how to diagnose and manage common adolescent health concerns, including STIs, HIV prevention (PrEP), HPV vaccination, and menstrual disorders;
- Describe how to screen for mental health concerns and provide initial strategies for treatment and stress management;

- Explain how to integrate adolescent risk assessment into clinical workflows;
