Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Name two features of joint pain in children that are warning signs for juvenile arthritis;
- State when an antinuclear antibodies test is and is not useful in evaluation of children with possible rheumatologic disease;
- Describe the "4 Ms" approach to counseling pediatric patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain;
- Recall how to perform a comprehensive joint exam, evaluating for swelling and decreased range of motion;
- Identify appropriate vaccination recommendations for pediatric patients on immunosuppressive medications.
