Target Audience
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe how violence can impact asthma symptoms;
- Demonstrate how to use medication delivery devices;
- State the role medication delivery devices play in asthma management;
- Identify strategies to manage asthma while participating in physical activity and while in heat and humidity;
- Explain the importance of an asthma action plan and how to build one;
- Discuss ways to educate patients and families how to use an asthma action plan effectively;
- Determine how to discuss the impact of smoking on asthma with patients and families;
- List smoking cessation options and resources.
