6th Annual Hospice and Palliative Care Symposium Listening with the Head and Heart: Exploring the Human Experience and Examining Spiritual Care Needs

This symposium will help end of life providers from all disciplines to be able to better identify and help with spiritual and existential needs of patients with terminal illnesses.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed for physicians and other allied healthcare professionals in the geriatrics, palliative care, internal medicine, and neurology specialties including social workers and nursing home directors, administrators.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify Spiritual and Existential Issues;
  • Equip providers with skills to deal with spiritual and existential distress;
  • Improve our own emotional self-awareness and self-actualization in order to help care for others.
