Objectives

1. To test the ability of dietary vitamin D to inhibit tumor development in the Apc+/LoxP; Cdx2-Cre mouse model of colon cancer
2. To test the ability of losartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), to inhibit colon tumor development in this model
3. To assess potential additive or synergistic chemopreventive effects of combining vitamin D and losartan
4. To assess effects of these agents on colonic and systemic components of the renin-angiotensin system
