Objectives

1. a)   Define the preparation of patients with diabetes mellitus, or those at high risk for diabetes
   mellitus, for pregnancy b) Advise on management of patients with history of gestational diabetes mellitus postpartum
2. Define the goals of therapy for thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy
3. Articulate how calcium metabolism changes in pregnancy, and risks to fetus when abnormal
