  • Participants will be able to describe the current diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder.
  • Participants will be able to outline the processes for testing for autism spectrum disorder.
  • Participants will be able to discuss the recent updates in AAP policy, especially regarding expanded treatment options for autism spectrum disorder.
  • Identify the prevalence of seizures in patients with autism 
  • Consider alternative etiologies of seizure-like episodes in children with autism
  • Understand the challenges in diagnosing epilepsy in patients with autism
