5th Annual Hospice and Palliative Care Symposium: Out of the Fire: Building Resiliency for End-of-Life Care Providers

The overall goal of this symposium is to educate the attendee on how to identify the problem of burn-out and how to uncover factors to build resiliency to diminish burnout's effects.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed for physicians and other allied healthcare professionals in the geriatrics, palliative care, internal medicine, and neurology specialties including social workers and nursing home directors, administrators.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the problem of burn-out;
  • Illustrate the potential individual and system causes of burn-out;
  • Devise individual skill-sets to improve resiliency;
  • Empower attendees to engage in the design of supportive system programs.
